Good morning, my friends. We've made good use of our time here in Olympia, Washington, and we'll be moving on to our next stop in Forks today. We'll have four days in Forks, and we have a lot of sight-seeing on the agenda. If the forecast is to be believed, we should have good weather while we're there.

Good morning, my friends. When I left you yesterday, I was thinking I'd wait until after our hike to blog again. But then we had so much going on yesterday, and I managed to take dozens of pictures again. Since I know I'll take bazillions of pictures on our hike today, it seemed like a good idea to cut down on the volume for my next post. We're planning to do our hike in a couple of hours...and bonus! It rained last night, but the forecast is for dry weather for the hike. Yay!

This part of Portland comprises several of its most beautiful and beloved public spaces. Clustered together, one can find the Hoyt Arboretum, Washington Park, Pittock Mansion, Oregon Zoo, International Rose Test Garden, and Portland Japanese Garden. Pickles were on the morning’s agenda, and so I made one more trek to the garden to find any cucumbers that could be included. Just that morning, I’d told Mike that none of the red sunflowers had bloomed. I planted all the sunflowers from the many seed packets I had from years gone by. I was pretty sure some red ones were in the mix, but I’d kind of given up on them. And then…there they ...

Possibly things will settle down for a short time. We're gearing up for a trip next month, though. That always means there's lots to do. I'll say more about the trip as it draws closer. Good morning, my friends. A little more was accomplished here at the Three Cats Ranch yesterday. Have you noticed how there haven't been any pictures of cats lately? I blame them for the lack of progress on things. They've been outside a lot with this nice weather. Clearly, they have not developed a reliable work ethic. Oh well. We soldier on, don't we?
